A good sign from the demonstration: CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST=CINO [Christian In Name Only].

The leader of the Department of Defense is a Christian Nationalist. I just learned, for the first time, from my fellow Quakers that "the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed at the end of last year will make federal Selective Service draft registration automatic for all men aged 18-25 starting in December 2026. The US Government wouldn’t bother doing this if they didn’t plan to use it."

The Quakers [and probably other peace churches] are getting organized to get informed, resist and, specifically, help people win a conscientious objector status. People wishing to claim that status will only have 10 days [from the induction date ?] in which to prepare a case.

I never thought that people with a mind set like Hegseth would ever be in the upper echelons of government, certainly not Secretary of War. Religions have been the root of major war throughout history and now we have a Christian Nationalist in charge of a war in the middle east. What could possibly go wrong? It’s good to hear that people in this country generally understand the need for separation of church and state, and at the same time they need to realize there is a powerful movement in this country that clearly gives more credence to a government guided by the Bible than The Constitution.

We should’ve been concerned a hell of a long time ago. Like, decades.

Unfortunately the average person seems content to bury their head in the sand until mandatory church.

There were a lot of white brogressives running around in 2016 telling us Hillary was just as bad as Donald, Hamilton included. They're partly to blame for this disaster, but refuse to acknowledge their role in this.

I wonder what ol’ Pete thinks of the Sermon on the Mount.

The last point about local elections and school boards is very true. I live in Central Bucks School District in PA and it only took one election cycle for organized groups to take over our school board and wreak havoc for years. Luckily, that only took one cycle to correct but it highlighted the need to stay vigilant.
