The projection is unbelievable. It is always a mistake to believe your own nonsense, which this man does. I grew up in the same kind of environment this man spouts. I remember thinking at a young age that all of this ranting has nothing to do with reality. I think Hillary Clinton was right when she said that we need deprogramming of the right. This is insane. Thank you for posting this. Everyone needs to see it.

I would call this dude insane, but that would be an insult to all those good people with legitimate mental health issues. Let's go with, I don't know, "deranged"? Does that do it justice? I don't know, man.

The phrase “woke nationalism” is so bizarre because the people they would likely describe as the “most woke” are anti-nationalist.

Also, given his position of power, I would be hesitant to label this derangement or self-delusion and more likely to consider it blatant lying for the purpose of obtaining more power.

No, you see, the left are nationalists, too, so if anything, they're the real Hitlers!!!!

I used to play the "fun" game "Stupid or Evil?" with these types: Is he stupid for thinking the least virtuous and least disinterested public leadership in US history is in lockstep with the Founders and Framers? Or does he get it and he's saying it to further some horrific goal? Now it's obvious that those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Wow, talk about the definition of projection 🥸

When Christian Nationalists refer to “Marxists” and “globalists,” does that mean Jews, or can anyone be pejoratively called a Marxist these days? Obviously Christian Nationalists are overtly Islamophobic, but I’m not sure how antisemitic they are as well.

I suspect there wasn't much grappling with the nuts and bolts of how to handle day to day life after civil service expertise and cheap immigrant labor has been purged.

What's the plan when things inevitably go sideways and they're faced with an angry citizenry that hasn't been conditioned to reflexively blame the woke left for every problem?

Start shooting?

These people truly want to bring about a second Dark Age. And after the past three weeks, I fear they’re much too close to this for comfort.

Read both this and the These Times article with interest. Trump has long been known for turning what should be said about him onto his accusations of the other side. These people took his lesson.

My question: how the heck did they let you in?

A lot of right wing events are in the "all press is good press" camp because they assume that the mainstream press doesn't like them no matter what and they'd rather not be ignored.

I wonder if the "[unclear]" in the third paragraph of Kevin Roberts' speech is supposed to be "shit"?

That's some haaaard projection.

It blows my mind that people believe this stuff.

Welp, those certainly were words.

And what's so fascinating about those words is that they reveal that well-financed powerful elites find themselves increasingly on the outside of polite society, and they fail to grasp that it's because they are truly hateful, despicable people who want to embrace the worst failures of our history.

Other than that, good speech.
